RESEARCH INTEREST

(1) Assess the level of contamination in relation to
microbial bioremediation

(2) Develop practical bioremediation strategies under aerobic and/or anaerobic conditions, such as brownfield soils, sewage sludge, and sediments from river, ocean, and estuarine areas

(3) Isolate and characterize novel bacterial species that have bioremediation potential

(4) Study the relationship between plant and microorganism in order to increase plant productivity or microbial biodegradation activity

(5) Investigate the microbial bioremediation in the gastrointestinal tract of living creatures (e.g., insect, fish, or other animals) living in polluted environments.
